Benjamin Rush worshipped at the Old Pine Street Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia, with fellow-worshipper, John Adams; as well as at Christ Church, Philadelphia, where he is buried – as are his fellow-worshippers, Benjamin Franklin; Robert Morris; George Ross; James Wilson, LL.D.; Francis Hopkinson and Joseph Hewes – all Signers of the Declaration of Independence. His pastors were, Rev. Francis Alison, D.D.; Rev. George Duffield, D.D. and Rev. William White, D.D.
